Why Break Up Is The Best Thing That Happened!
It is Valentine’s Day and it is exactly why I choose this
day to post this. I am very cynical when it comes to love. My belief in
cynicism has increased more than it has in love. I have been in love and out of it.
And from collective experiences and observations I was ready to put it all
down.
At a time when some people may have marked today to ask out their significant other, I share why Break-up is the best thing that happened to
me (or anyone)! Well, that’s me. Don’t know if you’ve had one yet, but it is an
experience. Not a pleasant one, which is ok! I’ve a lot of regrets which I now
refer as memories to make myself feel good about the whole thing.
- It teaches you to Cry and then Stop- Immediately after a break up all one goes through is dismay (unless you were looking forward to it). You’ve tears flowing out giving competition to the perennial flow of some of the rivers. Each morning you wake up looking like a frog and as you wash your face you turn into a tadpole. There’s that puffiness which you’re trying to hide. It teaches you to cry and also stop crying after a while. You begin to think you’re anyway not filling buckets with those tears, let’s just stop them. And then you stop crying as the realization dawns upon that you’d rather cry for someone who deserves it.
- It teaches you to Stop Caring- All the while you’ve been like a mother/sister in disguise of the other person. You began to care more than you should for someone but it is time you stop all of it. You change your disguise into a bitch up to rise! You don’t care a damn. You make yourself strong, you’ve no choice.
- FREEDOM- This is definitely the best part of a break up. No more do
you’ve to be answerable to “where were you?”, “who’s that guy?”, “why don’t you
reply me?” and those W’s.! You do not have the obligation anymore of justifying
your actions.
You’re Free! Not Muft, Muft, Muft!! But you know what I mean right? No more restrictions and acting by the rule book. I do this for you so you should also listen to me kind of stuff! - Saving money- Ok, so I may have exaggerated a little on the previous point but this is just as important. You are saving a lot of money if you’re single. No more late night calls and messages. You do not have to recharge for each other or in short pay for other person. If you were one of those girls who spent a lot of time in parlour before going to meet your guy, well now you don’t need to. You can splurge that money on food instead. Go hoggg!
- Let It Go- A break up definitely teaches you acceptance. At one point you thought it was impossible to live without someone; now you don’t even know if they exist. You begin to accept whatever happened and move on. Call it regret or a memory, choice is yours. I call it an Experience.
- Available Once Again- Once you’ve closed that chapter, you’re ready
to begin a new one. Personally, I’m having the time of my life! I am discovering
a lot many reasons to be happy about than to whine about some swine. (oops!) *drinks wine*
Besides I am free to indulge in lethal flirting with my friends. I miss no chance to look at a hot guy wearing a black shirt which makes him look hotter! (I always loved tall guys wearing a black shirt, collar button open, basking in the sunlight and a killer smile..) I know, I went more descriptive than I should have. You are like khullam khulla pyaar karenge hum dono.. ya teeno.. ya chaaro?
Awesome!!
