Night Shift
Those late night conversations just have something about
them. For once I can’t be anyone’s 3 am friend. Call me any time after 2 am and
listen to ‘The number you’re trying to reach is currently switched off.’ But
till then I’m available and up for pretty intense conversations.
I’m not referring to ‘raaton ko neend nahi ati’ nights. And
seriously it doesn’t amount to ‘AM I IN LOVE?’ No. You’re fucking not.
It’s only after the world sleeps that we tend to be
comfortable in our own skin, reflect ourselves very well and are ready to face
the criticism upon us. Talking to the best people who you may’ve not interacted
with whole day but at night you wait for their buzz. And after a few minutes of
how was your day begins the actual conversations. The day or rather the night
is incomplete without the ‘talk’ you know?
One by one placing each other’s problems upfront and solving
them simultaneously. At times finding no solution and cursing ‘Life’. But
overall it’s a good time. It is when you get to know yourself better. In the
sense if you’re preaching a solution to a friend you’re actually even helping
yourself. It is safe to say that you don't really know someone until you've spoken to them at night.
It is even a get your dirty secret out timing. Something
you’ve been hiding with yourself becomes so easy to talk out at night. And who
doesn’t like to be the only one to know some things? This is no time to
overreact over a dirty confession rather to accept it.
For some it’s a difficult task to get through the night. Day
encompasses your routine but for nights there is no routine. And that’s when
the thoughts take their own trip. Deep down you start contemplating and your
own thought process eats you up.
There is just something about night! It is almost a turn on
for conversations.
