Face The Music
Earlier in the realm of the media (films) there was sense
and sensibility. Now the scene depicts immense lack of ability. I may not have
intricate knowledge about how to make a film but studying in the media I have
developed my own insights. I do not wish to show off here but what really annoy
me these days are the new Bollywood songs.
Of all the upcoming releases, hardly any song album manages
to create an impression. Krishh 3 right from its trailer guarantees a disaster
in the making. Although the songs are facing enough flak over the social media,
one song that really wants me to hit the lyricist black and blue is the “God,
Allah, Bhagwan”. The lyrics go- “God, Allah aur Bhagwan, ne banaya ek insaan”.
Really? Now please someone differentiate between these 3 logically. And also if
the concerned ‘insaan’ created is Krishh then on serious notes,
God/Allah/Bhagwan all sure went insane in his creation.
Coming over to SLB’s Ram-Leela, the extravagant sets,
vibrant colors, enthusiasm all are reflected through some of the songs. But it
again hits a low with Priyanka Chopra’s item number. The lyrics go- “Ram chahe
Leela, Leela chahe Ram, in dono ke love me duniya ka kya naam?” Urmmm.. I
better say ‘ye movie me ye gaane ka kya kaam!!” Her provocative moves do little
to make it appear good on screen. She is one actress who really needs to look upon
her choices. After making statements about women integrity and dancing to ‘Pinky
hai paisewalo ki’ she loses my honor for her as a star performer. (Not that I had
enough).
Talking about Saif’s Bullet Raja, I again have an urge to
shoot bullets in someone’s head for the song “Tamanche pe dis dis disco”. Check
out the lyrics for yourself. http://www.lyricstaal.com/tamanche-pe-disco-lyrics-bullett-raja-2013/. And with Sonakshi Sinha dancing I rest my case.
It is really pissing off. Are we so low on talent? We are
producing senseless songs over and over again. Don’t the directors, producers
and music composers sit together over a cup of coffee to discuss the music? Isn’t
good music supposed to be one of the perks for a movie’s success? One of the
reasons I will never watch Krishh 3 is because of the pathetic music tracks. I can’t
walk out of the movie-hall every time there is a composition gone wrong playing
loudly in my ears.
Why would the film-makers make their audience go through such
amount of torture? We pay quite a lot with the inclusive taxes to watch their creation. And
what I get in return is the horrible music. As if the crackers in the season were not going
to be annoying enough! The situation exactly reflects the phrase '...Or Face The Music'.
Amazing posts.. Humour of a class apart.. Good going
