Mirror Effects.
I discovered a new friend but it had always been there. But it
took me some time to realise the person within. All the while I was finding for
someone to listen to me patiently without passing through the filters of judgements.
And I needed no expert advice but just
someone to talk to or someone to understand by just 1 look on my face.
All alone at home one day I wandered from room to room in
some thoughts. Till I stood still at a point, looked straight, stared into and
lips curved for a smile. I got an equivalent smile back. And all the thoughts vanished. I had found
it. Mirror!
This may look straight out of some rehearsal room but practicing
in front of the mirror actually helps even in everyday life. It gives you confidence;
it helps you to look perfect, act perfect. If you feel like crying go stand in front of
the mirror, tears may trickle down but the reflection says you’re not alone. A few
minutes into it and you see how ugly your crying face looks and wipe the tears
away.
Reflection and silence make for the best conversations. You need
say anything in front of the huge glass in the front of you. Silently stare and
your thoughts will follow and go away. You’ll end up with a smile. It never
lies to you. It will not judge you other than your own presumptions. It doesn’t
give you unnecessary advice other than your own.
All that a mirror does is laughs with you, cries with you, reflect
You. A little more than what others see, understand and assume. I do not preach
narcissism here, do not get used to watching in the mirror every now and then. It
will land you in the category of conscious bimbettes! Watch in the mirror with eerie
silence and just smile a silent stare makes you believe in yourself.
You get back what you give. Nothing less, Nothing more. |
