A Nomad That Settled Into a Cafe

This story or rather my story could start off with the clichéd “Once upon a time there was a guy….” And traverse my past memories to present existence. But let’s get straight to the point- I am Nomad. That’s what I have heard them calling me all the time. So I assume that’s my best identity. With the little learning of my survival skills, I know food, water and shelter form the basis. I have given up my shelter, a constant four-walled, one-roof structure, to find my base everywhere else. My hunger has taken me to places and the food particularly added to my memories. So, I am a hungry nomad. Clearly, my hunger does not limit to food but defining good food, finding the best places and exploring spots with food on my mind. And there’s one spot I have come to and can’t really take my foot off. It’s a place that caters to my multi-cuisine needs - the Nomad Café. Not to forget, they use my identity.

Sceneries, nature, adventure and activities aside, the food of a particular place has always attracted me and been my fondest memory. Not every place I went to I got served what I wanted, but I learnt about the different tastes that exist in the world! And boy, that just got me started. I started viewing food as more than just something that satiates my hunger. But instead, something that makes me hungry for more. Think about it, the parathas you have on a cold morning in a hilly area will be tastier than one in a fancy restaurant. The chutneys that they serve with some dishes are probably the ones that you keep longing for than the main course. You cannot even try them at home.

There are some tastes that linger on and I have settled on one for some time. This one café that has held my presence and the food is captivating. Nomad Café welcomes me to cuisines across the world and in a style that I can only relish it over and over again. Burgers, unique rice varieties, exotic seafood, coolers, they have it all!
