Of Late Nights And Long Drives!

This year has started on a nice note. Can’t say much about the days but nights are so far so good. Every night I’ve been lucky enough to escape on a long drive. From Carter Road to Karjat I have been there. Let’s not get into the company I am with but it is fun. Added is the winter winding you up as the empty streets lead the way.

Radio works wonders in the night for your somber mood. Not even getting to the old songs, the day I went to Carter’s the song tuned into was ‘Kabhi Kabhi Aditi’ from romantically high movie ‘Jaane tu ya Jaane Na’. The very initial lyrics ‘Kabhi Kabhi Aditi Zindagi me koi apna lagta hai, wo bichad jaye to sapna lagta hai, aise me koi kaise apne aansuon ko behne se roke and kaise koi soch de Everything’s gonna be ok!’ also had an effect. You know Everything is going to be okay but you take time to accept it. I observed the lyrics more and related to every line of it. It was a happy feeling as the cold wind gushed by. Coming to older songs which are actually way better and musically enticing they make the night and the drive worth it!
A coffee in the midnight along the sea worked wonders. Also a sutta adds advantage. It is like you get sudden deference for your own thoughts. Everything is gonna be okay gets into you and you’re all positive. You’re with your best friends discussing your life over a smoke and coffee. (If You’re Judging Me Right Now Over I Smoke, Stop Reading!) On the way back I actually danced to the new songs with my bestie. That was again a positive high. Jo tenu yaar na mileyyy toh mar jawaa! And ofcourse there is speed to speed past the stupid thoughts.

It is a different high if you’re in a place with fewer crowds and more serenity. Karjat is such a place where if you look around it’ll gratify you in nature. It will make you feel a part of the galaxy. I was to an extent frenetic when I saw the stars above. I also caught a falling star, but I did not make a wish. I was too happy to be present at that moment. A star gazing enthusiast and you are ready for the night! No need of coffee to keep you going. An interesting partner/s is all you can do with.
Lonavla had a similar effect on me. The magic is in the weather of these places. And I won't underestimate my company but let's keep them away.

Nights that were once crazy now become friendly. Long drives gave that pleasure. Thoughts were straightened along the empty roads. Soft songs play my life in someone else’s voice. I don’t need advice; I do become a little wise. I am actually ready for the road ahead!
