Reality Check

Hello reality! I really don’t like how you look but since you have come up right in my face I’ll deal with you.

If I could talk to Reality for Real, I’d have endless conversations with it. Wait, maybe debates. I could never agree on what it has to show and what I want to picture.

So graduation was an eye-opener. It showed freedom. It felt that there were no more studies for a while. It showed independence by ability to work. It showed a qualification to get a job. It showed the first pay-check after a job.
But I feel disheartened when I realize that graduation doesn’t really give you a satisfying job. You’re just another fresher. Why would anyone hire you? You lack experience. But to gain experience I need work. Not just any work; something that will use my potential and train me with more. All this was in my mind when I was taking the essence of freedom after final exams.

Now from the time reality is showing its not-so-pretty face, hopes dampen. I quickly decide to study instead. Wait, what? Yes! Study further was the orderly suggestion thrown at me. My parents didn't want me to waste a year so I have now enrolled for my post-graduation. It was a quick call but I couldn't dampen hopes of everyone. It was difficult to settle down to study again but it guarantees more knowledge. So I’ll become more potential. So tomorrow to hell with some freshers but I am more capable than you will be my belief! I will still work alongside and get my experience but I’ll have a degree too. And that happiness of having a Masters’ degree will be incomparable.

This is just my personal example which I give but the point being we all are living within a world of tinted glasses. Everything looks pretty good and colourful from behind but get out in the real and the glasses have developed cracks.  Reality is very demanding, very mean. Acceptance of this is even more difficult. You can still build your thoughts of becoming independent but back them up by your value in the real world. You can’t really debate with this damn reality, rather just accept it and improve yours!
